Dream.BeastEar

The name Dream.BeastEar comes from a place of tension—between softness and violence, fantasy and raw instinct.

‘Dream’ is about vulnerability, imagination, even escapism. ‘Beast’ is the untamed part of us that resists control, resists being ‘palatable.’ And ‘Ear’—that’s the body. It’s intimate, exposed, and often the first site of transformation—pierced, adorned, or modified.

Together, these three words represent how I see jewellery—not just as decoration, but as resistance. As a way to claim your own narrative through your body.

For me, Dream Beast Ear is about giving form to the contradictions inside us. It’s punk. It’s personal. It’s political.

LingChen

is a London-based jewellery

artist and emerging voice in the future of conceptual adornment. With a background in Jewellery & Related Products from Birmingham City University, her work explores the tensions between individuality and conformity through a bold deconstruction of punk aesthetics.

Her debut collection, Rebellion Reimagined: The Punk Jewellery Project, transforms subcultural symbols—spikes, slogans, piercings, and chains—into sculptural, modular jewellery that blurs the line between body and politics. By integrating 3D printing and traditional metalwork, she reclaims punk’s radical language, resisting the commodification of rebellion in contemporary fashion.

Ling’s practice is driven by a desire to build a new visual lexicon for subcultural identity. Through symmetry, disruption, and iterative design, her jewellery invites personal authorship and active participation. Each piece is not only worn but inhabited—becoming a vessel for resistance, authorship, and redefinition.

She is currently developing her first independent jewellery brand—one that merges avant-garde design with the urgency of cultural commentary—positioning her as one of the most promising new artists working at the intersection of fashion, craft, and critical theory.
